Helping people live with independence, purpose, and connection across generations.
A family foundation supporting older adults who want to stay home, and students with something to give back.
Thrive at Home
Most of what pushes someone out of their home is not a medical crisis. It is a ride to an appointment, a grab bar, help with a phone, or somebody dependable to call. Thrive at Home is our work to connect those everyday needs with the people and organizations already in a community.
Pay It Forward Scholars
Rather than spreading small awards broadly, we make substantial, needs-aware investments in a few students who show character, resilience, and a real commitment to serving others. Scholars are encouraged to carry that opportunity forward.

One award, still moving outward
The first Pay It Forward award went out in 2025. A year later that scholar was continuing in kinesiology on a pre-medicine track, taking part in an honors program, and mentoring elementary students through hands-on STEM projects. That is the whole idea behind paying it forward, and it is why the Foundation renewed her support and opened the program to two more students.
A family foundation, run by the family
Erik and Nikki Drennen started the Drennen Family Foundation in 2021. Erik spent more than thirty years in home health, hospice, and community-based care, where he watched ordinary problems decide whether people got to stay in their own homes. That experience is where Thrive at Home comes from.
If you already know what your community needs
We look for people and organizations with local knowledge, real relationships, and the willingness to own the work. If that sounds like you, tell us about it.
